Kingstone Press to support Parliamentary Rugby League Group Charity Dinner
The Parliamentary Rugby League Group has announced England headline partner Kingstone Press will be supporting its Annual Dinner in the House of Lords.
The dinner, which brings together MPs, Peers and non-Parliamentary Members of the Group is an opportunity to celebrate the sport, present awards and raise money for charity.
The announcement was made by Group Chairman Greg Mulholland, MP for Leeds North West, saying: “Kingstone Press have long supported rugby league in Britain and they have developed a great relationship with the sport at all levels. It is great to see how that relationship has developed and grown over time to encompass England’s national team.”
“We welcome them to Parliament, and thank them for their support for our game.”
Speaking on behalf of Kingstone Press, Gordon Johncox said “We are very proud to be England national sponsors, and to be a part of the wider rugby league family. The Parliamentary Rugby League Group plays an important role in supporting the sport and we are very pleased to add our help in enabling them to celebrate rugby league in the Palace of Westminster.”
The Parliamentary Rugby League Group meets regularly in Parliament throughout the year to promote the sport and challenge issues. Its Annual Dinner is taking place on 21 November, where it will raise money for rugby league charities and present awards to people in the game. Tickets are available on the Group’s website.
