Batley Bulldogs join Parliamentary Rugby League Group
Batley Bulldogs have joined the Parliamentary Rugby League Group, meaning all levels of professional rugby league are represented within the Group, as well as the community game.
The Championship club joins Wigan Warriors and Bradford Bulls from Super League, and Oxford RL from Championship One. The community game is represented by Brentwood Eels.
The Group’s Chairman, Leeds North West MP Greg Mulholland, welcomed the club to the Group saying “We’re delighted that Batley Bulldogs have joined the Parliamentary Rugby League Group. The Group is open to any member of the rugby league community and to now have clubs from the community game to the Super League is terrific. They are most welcome and we look forward to working with them in the future.”
Any individual, club or organisation who shares the Group’s goal “to support rugby league football” is able to join the Group as an Associate Member and may attend and speak in Group meetings and events in Parliament.
The Bulldogs’ Chairman is Kevin Nicholas who added “we are very pleased to have joined the Parliamentary Rugby League Group. Over their 25 years, they’ve done some outstanding work to support the game and we look forward to playing our part in the future.”
