Parliamentary Rugby League Group meet RFL Chairman to discuss Bradford Bulls
Officers of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Rugby League, led by Chair and Bradford South MP Judith Cummins, yesterday met Simon Johnson, newly appointed Chair of the Rugby Football League.
They discussed the current situation with the Bradford Bulls. Simon took the Officers through a detailed timeline of the RFL’s involvement with the Bradford Bulls, including the decision to purchase Odsal in 2012. All agreed that it was most important to look forward to the future of Bradford Bulls.
There was also agreement that there must be a renewed focus on bringing the Bulls back to Bradford as soon as possible. Simon confirmed that this is the shared ambition of the RFL. Officers agreed that they would support Judith in her campaign to Bring the Bulls Back to Bradford.
Judith and Simon agreed that they would stay in touch and plan to meet again soon with all the relevant parties.
